Thank you for contacting GrandFamilies
of America, where our mission is to provide grandparents and relative caregivers of relative children, with the necessary
tools to navigate the complex government systems they come in contact with, as they try to provide safety and permanency for
the children in their care, while at the same time protecting their family ties and heritage.
GrandFamilies of America, the
organization, and the staff that work for GrandFamilies of America are far from being strangers
to the issues that relative caregivers of children encounter. Whether it be the on site office staff at the national headquarters
in Maryland, the volunteers in the various national regional offices, or the many volunteers operating in states throughout
the country, they individually and collectively bring more experience to child welfare issues than any other group in the
country.
Over the years, we have been
most fortunate to have developed strong links to other National Organizations that support Grandparents/ Relative caregivers,
such as AARP , The Children's Defense Fund , Generations United , The Child Welfare League of America , CLASP, and
Child Focus .
These organizations have provided our
population with education, resources, and support which has resulted in many significant changes in law/policy changes across
the country as they relate to relative caregivers of relative children. We are looking forward to introducing you to the amazing
family of child advocacy.

our organization, staff, and resources, please explore our website. We look forward to hearing from you and providing you with
assistance.
Sincerely,
Pat Owens, Director
